We usually see them on the worst day of our lives: firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians. These are the people who keep us safe and save our lives.
Here at Victoria College, the Public Service Academies produce knowledgeable and trained personnel to serve our communities. Graduates can also take what they have learned here and transfer to a four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree.
Our students gain the skills to enter such high-paying fields as nursing, process technology, networking, and welding, just to name a few.
We welcome high school graduates who want to continue their education, but we also cater to those already in the workforce seeking to improve their job skills or enter a new career. If you think you’re too old or not cut out for college, check out page 8 of this issue of CareerFocus, where common excuses for not going to college are countered.
Military veterans transitioning from the service to academic life can also find a helping hand at Victoria College. In this issue, learn about what VC’s Veterans Services Office does, and meet Angel Ramirez, an Army veteran who was seriously wounded in Iraq and now attends Victoria College.
Our students gain the skills to enter such high-paying fields as nursing, process technology, networking, and welding, just to name a few.
